ChefxDoor respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Notices of claimed infringement should be sent to ChefxDoor's Designated Copyright Agent:
ChefxDoor — DMCA Agent
Email: dmca@chefxdoor.com
Mailing address: [On file with the U.S. Copyright Office]
Notices sent by any other means or to any other address may not receive a response.
To be effective, your notice must be a written communication that includes substantially the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
(a) A physical or electronic signature of the owner, or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
(b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
(c) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (such as the URL, the username of the poster, and a description of the post).
(d) Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you (address, phone number, and email).
(e) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
(f) A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Note: Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice may subject you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent that includes:
(a) Your physical or electronic signature.
(b) Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which it appeared before removal.
(c) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
(d) Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, the federal district court for the Northern District of Illinois), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or that person's agent.
On receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from infringing.
ChefxDoor will, in appropriate circumstances and in our sole discretion, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers, including users who have been the subject of multiple credible DMCA notices.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective" date at the top of this page.
